A Partner in the Economic Growth

This is the period of growth for the multinational companies. Snelling begins the recruitment of Romanian candidates for middle management positions in multinational companies in Romania, and promotes this line of business with a campaign which positions the company as “Your Middle Management Company”.

This is also the period when Snelling gains expertise in various industries, such as: Fast Moving Consumer Goods, Oil and Gas, Pharmaceuticals, Telecommunication and Advertising.

In 1998, foreign investors and multinational companies begin to set up new plants in Timisoara forming the core for the development of the Automotive and Technology industries in this area. Snelling Timisoara has enough experience to become their main recruiting partner.

The team in Timisoara begins a long-term collaboration with the representatives of these industries, a collaboration which results in the tripling of Snelling Timisoara’s turnover. For 5 years, Snelling manages recruitment operations for Solectron and, in total, recruits around 3,000 individuals.

On the diploma issued by Solectron in 2003, as a sign of recognition, it says “in recognition of valuable contribution to Solectron’s success through almost 3.000 placed candidates since 1999 and effective partnership in people development”.

The age of value-added services

The Snelling team decides to set up a new department – Training Services. Both offices, from Bucharest and Timisoara, begin to develop in this direction, by training trainers, creating and delivering various training programs.

Consulting Services also emerge in this period. The team in Timisoara launches the first Salary Survey. Today, the service is at its 12th edition, and was extended to include the Manufacturing and Information Technology domains for the Western and Central part of Romania.

In the field of recruitment, Snelling is one of the main partners for the Banking Industry (ABN Amro Bank), which is in full expansion.
